About the Role

​

We’re looking for a multi-skilled Web Developer to help elevate our agency and client websites. You’ll play a hands-on role in front-end and back-end web development, leading the charge on new builds, maintenance, and optimization. You’ll also get the chance to work with a range of platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, and no-code tools like Webflow, to bring creative ideas to life.

This is an on-site role in Indianapolis, IN — perfect for someone seeking to grow their skill set in a supportive, marketing-driven team. (Some flexibility for hybrid/remote creative jobs may be possible for outstanding candidates.)

Key Responsibilities

​

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic websites and web applications for JDA and our clients
• Build functional prototypes to gather and implement client feedback early and often
• Deliver high-performance, standards-compliant solutions across WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow
• Collaborate with designers and strategists to create seamless UX/UI with a focus on user-path mapping
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimize web performance, and update existing client sites
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Stay on top of web trends, emerging tech, and no-code innovations to infuse projects with fresh ideas
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) practices and weigh technical approaches for budget and timelines

What You Bring

​

• Advanced experience with WordPress (custom plugin and theme development)
• Proficient in Webflow and other no-code web development platforms
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience with Shopify, including custom theme development
• Ability to implement modern UX/UI concepts and responsive web design best practices
• Skilled in Figma for collaboration with designers
• Familiar with React and current web animation techniques
• Adept at optimizing sites for SEO and accessibility (WCAG, ADA compliance)
• Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows, preferably with Git Flow
• Commitment to cross-browser compatibility and web performance optimization

• Hands-on experience with Hubspot or other CRM integrations
• Knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and database-driven web applications
• Awareness of web security standards and Unix command line tools
