Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Content Writer will play a critical role in shaping brand messaging, content strategy, and editorial direction for clients. This role requires expertise in brand positioning, tone of voice development, and crafting content that aligns with strategic marketing goals.We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate confidence in presenting new ideas and help us win over clients, whether start-ups or Fortune 500 companies.
Y&C is a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be experienced in web copywriting, content audits, information architecture, social media strategy, proposal writing, and team leadership. Additionally, the Senior Content Writer will manage internal and external writers, contribute to business development, and support company-wide strategic planning.
Job Overview
As our Senior Content Writer, you will develop brand messaging, craft compelling content, and bring creative concepts to life across multiple platforms. You’ll work on everything from website copy and digital campaigns to brand storytelling, sales enablement, and advertising copy.Whether it's an attention-grabbing ad, an inspiring brand manifesto, or a persuasive case study, your words will build brand equity, engage audiences, and support business growth. Key Responsibilities Creative
Concepting & Brand Messaging
- Develop creative concepts, key messaging, and brand storytelling that capture audience attention.
- Craft brand positioning statements, taglines, and tone of voice guidelines for clients.
- Write engaging campaign messaging, ad copy, and creative narratives across multiple channels.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and creative teams to develop impactful marketing campaigns.
- Ensure all brand messaging aligns with client objectives, audience insights, and business goals.
Content Strategy & Development
- Develop and implement brand and content strategies that strengthen positioning and engagement.
- Translate complex ideas into compelling, easy-to-digest content for different industries and audiences. This includes both B2C and B2B audiences.
- Write content for websites, blogs, print, and broadcast media, email campaigns, marketing materials, and sales enablement tools.
- Conduct content audits, information architecture planning, and web copywriting to enhance clarity and impact.
- Optimize web content for SEO, readability, and engagement, including keyword research and meta descriptions.
Social Media & Editorial Content
- Develop and execute content strategies for social media and digital platforms that drive engagement.
- Write engaging, on-brand social media copy that aligns with audience preferences and industry trends.
- Manage editorial content calendars, ensuring brand consistency and strategic messaging across platforms.
Sales Enablement
- Write sales and marketing collateral that supports business development efforts and drives conversions.
- Craft persuasive proposals, RFPs, and presentations that showcase agency expertise and success stories.
- Develop case studies and thought leadership content that highlight the impact of our work.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay updated on industry trends, content marketing innovations, and SEO best practices.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, agency-driven environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in content writing, brand strategy, and content marketing (agency experience preferred).
- Strong expertise in brand messaging, positioning, and tone of voice development.
- Experience developing creative campaign messaging, ad copy, and high-impact storytelling.
- Proven experience with website content strategy, content audits, and web copywriting.
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices, content structure, and information architecture.
- Experience developing social media strategies and editorial content.
- Strong background in B2B sales enablement, proposal writing, RFPs, and case study development.
- Ability to adapt writing style and messaging for different industries, audiences, and platforms.
- Excellent storytelling, research, and editing skills with a strong portfolio of impactful work.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

- Possesses exceptional communication skills, written, verbal, and listening skills
- Solid understanding of creative and production processes
- Demonstrates confidence communicating with clients on day-to-day activities, presenting new ideas, or addressing objections
- Must be a proactive problem solver with the ability to anticipate the needs of the client
- Self-motivated and always take initiative
- Must have great attention to detail, be organized and flexible to manage in an ever-changing environment
- Able to speak about and address issues surrounding technologies the company is developing
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and other project management and productivity tools
- A relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent experience
