Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, the Web Developer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Eagle Copters' new consolidated website, which will serve as a digital hub for the main company and its affiliated brands. This position will also oversee the site’s performance, updates, and analytics on an ongoing basis, with some support responsibilities across marketing administration.
This is an in-person, full-time role based in Calgary.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a large-scale, modern website to support Eagle Copters and subsidiary companies.
- Create and manage scalable site architecture with mobile responsiveness and optimal load performance.
- Implement and maintain a secure CMS platform (WordPress, Webflow, or equivalent) for internal use.
- Ensure SEO best practices, web standards, and accessibility are followed.
- Manage hosting environments, DNS, SSL, backups, and security protocols.
- Conduct routine updates and maintenance for all digital properties.
- Set up and monitor web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console).
- Generate and present monthly website performance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Assist the marketing team in building landing pages and integrating forms and lead capture tools.
- Support occasional administrative tasks related to digital marketing, such as email automation and CRM updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly to ensure consistent uptime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skill, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web design best practices.
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar.
- Working knowledge of SEO, web performance optimization, and security.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preference will be given to applicants who also possess:
- Experience integrating CRM systems or marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Canva).
- Familiarity with web hosting and domain management tools.
- Background in aviation, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
