About the Role

Legion Health is hiring an SEO and AI Search Growth Lead to build the company's organic acquisition engine across Google Search, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Claude, and other AI-powered surfaces where patients discover care. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to own the complete organic search funnel—from discovery and rankings to AI citations, landing pages, scheduling, and retention. You'll combine SEO strategy with AI-search optimization, medical content expertise, and conversion optimization to drive qualified visits and patient acquisition. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of SEO or organic growth experience and are comfortable building strategy, auditing technical SEO, writing content briefs, and shipping page updates. The role is based in San Francisco or remote, with regular in-person founder and growth sprints.

Responsibilities

• Own Legion's organic growth metrics across qualified organic sessions, eligibility completions, scheduled visits, completed visits, CAC payback, contribution margin, LTV, retention, and reactivation
• Build and execute Legion's SEO and AI-search strategy across high-intent psychiatry, anxiety, depression, medication management, refills, insurance-covered care, state-specific access, and fast mental health care
• Win visibility in traditional SERPs and AI answer surfaces, including Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Bing/Copilot
• Build a content engine that leverages AI for research, outlines, briefs, and QA support while maintaining clinical accuracy, clinician review, clear authorship, citations, and patient-first explanations
• Own technical SEO including crawlability, indexation, internal linking, canonicalization, structured data, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, and server-log analysis
• Maintain AI-search crawl visibility for relevant bots including Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot, and user-triggered retrieval agents
• Build location and service-page systems that rank for high-intent searches like "psychiatrist in Dallas," "online psychiatrist Texas," "anxiety medication refill," and "insurance-covered psychiatry"
• Optimize conversion from organic visit to appointment through page templates, trust modules, insurance and price messaging, clinician credibility, scheduling CTAs, and intake abandonment recovery

Requirements

• 4+ years of SEO, AI Search, organic growth, or content growth experience
• Hands-on proficiency in technical SEO audits, content strategy, and conversion optimization
• Strong understanding of traditional SERP rankings and emerging AI-search surfaces (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Claude, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable content systems and manage clinician/medical review workflows
• Comfort with data analysis, tying organic traffic to business outcomes, and owning full-funnel metrics
• Experience shipping page updates, setting up AI-assisted workflows, and managing technical implementation
• US work authorization or willingness to sponsor visa requirements
