About the Role

We're hiring a skilled Content Marketing + SEO VA to elevate Gradcut's digital presence across website content, SEO strategy, newsletter publishing, and platform management. This is a specialized role requiring expertise in technical SEO, content optimization for both traditional and generative search engines, and hands-on Webflow experience. You'll support the strategic migration from WordPress to Webflow while creating high-quality, search-optimized content that drives results. The ideal candidate is based in or available for San Francisco, California working hours with flexibility for U.S. Pacific overlap.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and optimize website pages, blog posts, case studies, landing pages, and newsletter content with SEO best practices in mind
• Conduct keyword research and content gap analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth
• Optimize on-page elements including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, and internal linking structure
• Support technical SEO tasks including redirects, broken link fixes, indexing issues, site structure improvements, and page speed optimization
• Optimize content for both traditional SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to maximize visibility across search engines
• Manage website content in WordPress and support migration of pages, content, and assets to Webflow with quality assurance checks
• Format and publish migrated pages in Webflow using best-practice structure, ensuring layout, links, metadata, responsiveness, and UX consistency
• Draft, format, and publish regular newsletters; segment audiences and track performance metrics including open rates and click-through rates
• Monitor rankings, traffic, site health, and content performance using SEO tools; recommend data-driven improvements
• Leverage AI tools to enhance research, writing, editing, and workflow efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Content Marketing VA, SEO VA, Digital Marketing VA, or similar specialized role
• Excellent English writing and editing skills with ability to produce high-quality content requiring minimal edits
• Hands-on experience with both WordPress and Webflow platforms
• Proven expertise in technical SEO and on-page SEO optimization
• Understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and how to optimize content for AI search visibility
• Experience publishing newsletters using platforms such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Beehiiv
• Experience migrating or supporting migration of website content from WordPress to Webflow
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude
• Available to work during AEST timezone with flexibility for some overlap with U.S. Pacific working hours

Nice to Have

• Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or GA4
• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or SurferSEO
• Comfort improving and repurposing existing content, not just creating new content from scratch
• Portfolio of content, websites, or SEO projects you have worked on
