About the Role

As a Design Engineer, Growth at Ambrook, you'll own the craft of our growth surfaces—including marketing site, landing pages, activation flows, and checkout—while building the marketing design system that empowers the team to move quickly without sacrificing quality. This role combines hands-on design and development using Webflow-adjacent technologies (Next.js, React, TypeScript) with strategic partnership across marketing, sales, product operations, and customer success. You'll be a talented professional who brings both visual excellence and technical depth to every surface a prospect touches, driving business outcomes across our funnel and increasing the pace of experimentation. Based in the United States, this is an opportunity to impact a fintech and climate tech company transforming how real-economy producers evaluate, buy, and adopt software.

Responsibilities

• Own the craft and quality of all growth surfaces including marketing site, landing pages, activation flows, and checkout experiences
• Design and build a marketing design system that enables the team to compose new pages independently while maintaining high visual and interaction standards
• Partner directly with marketing, sales, product operations, and customer success to drive business outcomes and increase experimentation velocity
• Design and ship high-quality, bespoke work including custom widgets, product mockups, and animations that make the product legible to prospects
• Teach visual and interaction standards across the company, holding a high bar while enabling others to move fast
• Instrument growth surfaces with data collection to measure results and close the feedback loop on experiments
• Champion strong user data hygiene, operational security, and privacy practices across all growth work
• Contribute to engineering and design team meetings, conduct code reviews, and participate in hiring as the team grows

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and building high-craft growth surfaces, marketing sites, or activation flows end-to-end
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and modern web development practices (Next.js experience is a plus)
• Expertise in design tools like Figma with the ability to implement custom component libraries
• Deep understanding of visual and interaction design principles with demonstrated ability to maintain quality while moving fast
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product) to drive business outcomes
• Strong communication skills and ability to teach design standards to teammates
• Comfort with data-driven decision making and instrumenting work to measure results

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, climate tech, or B2B SaaS growth
• Familiarity with Next.js, Expo, React Native, or Sanity CMS
• Experience with GCP, BigQuery, or Hex for data insights
• Experience building and scaling design systems
• Comfort experimenting with AI dev tooling and staying current with emerging technologies
