Digital Marketing Manager

Chowbus

Job Description

About the Company

Chowbus is a leading AI-powered restaurant technology SaaS platform serving thousands of restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. They provide comprehensive technology solutions spanning POS, AI, and digital tools that help restaurants run more efficiently and grow their business, competing with industry leaders like Toast, Square, and Clover.

About the Role

As the Digital Marketing Manager at Chowbus, you'll own the company's entire digital presence end-to-end—from organic search and website management to marketing analytics and paid search campaigns. This hybrid role based in Chicago is perfect for a strategic marketer who turns data into decisions and wants to directly impact how restaurant owners discover Chowbus and book demos. You'll collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to optimize the digital funnel from first click to conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Own Chowbus's SEO roadmap, including keyword strategy, technical SEO audits, site structure, and Core Web Vitals improvements; run competitive SEO analysis against Toast, Square, Clover, and Menusifu to identify content and ranking opportunities
  • Manage day-to-day website CMS operations using tools like Webflow, WordPress, or similar platforms—building and editing pages, maintaining navigation, and ensuring content governance
  • Launch and maintain landing pages for campaigns, product launches, and events; run A/B tests on key pages (homepage, demo request forms, pricing) to improve conversion rates
  • Build and maintain marketing dashboards in GA4, Tableau, or similar tools to track website traffic, campaign performance, and lead-to-demo conversion metrics
  • Plan, launch, and manage Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Performance Max) to drive qualified demo requests; optimize continuously for cost per lead and ROAS
  • Partner with the content team to brief, optimize, and publish SEO-driven blog posts, landing pages, and location- or cuisine-specific pages
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports with clear takeaways and recommendations; work with RevOps and Sales to maintain clean, consistent lead data across systems
  • Monitor organic rankings, traffic, and backlink profiles using Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs; report on progress monthly

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing with hands-on ownership of SEO, website/CMS management, analytics, and paid search (Google Ads)
  • Proven experience improving organic search rankings and traffic using tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
  • Hands-on experience managing a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, or similar), including landing page builds and site edits
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and building reporting dashboards (Looker or similar)
  • Experience managing a paid search budget and reporting on ROAS and cost per lead
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience in restaurant technology, POS, payments, fintech, or another B2B SaaS company
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or scale-up
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for CMS edits
  • Professional or fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (most of the team and many restaurant partners communicate in Mandarin)

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • 100% employer-paid Short-Term Disability (STD)
  • 100% employer-paid Life Insurance
