About the Role
OutSystems is seeking a strategic Director of SEO & AI Discoverability to lead the evolution of search strategy from traditional keyword-centric SEO to AI-native Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how enterprise leaders discover OutSystems when asking LLMs about secure, proven solutions. You'll own our crucial FY26 migration from Sitecore XM to Webflow while building a forward-thinking strategy that captures visibility in AI Overviews and LLM search results across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
Responsibilities
- Define and champion a multi-year global SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategy that maximizes traffic and conversions across traditional and emerging search landscapes
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize inclusion in Google AI Overviews and secure citations as a primary source of truth in AI-generated answers across major LLM platforms
- Own visibility across off-site authority properties including Wikipedia, Reddit, G2, LinkedIn, YouTube, and AWS Marketplace, ensuring messaging reflects OutSystems' positioning as an AI-powered application platform
- Lead the organic search strategy for the Q1/Q2 Webflow migration, providing guidance on technical governance, site crawl efficiency, structured data (JSON-LD), and complex indexation
- Act as a strategic consultant across Brand, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, DevRel, and Community teams to help them understand how their work feeds LLM training signals
- Build and own a measurement framework that tracks new success metrics beyond clicks, including Share of Model, citation triggers, and AI referral traffic
Requirements
- 7-10 years of building and scaling organic growth programs at B2B companies with demonstrated expertise in content architecture, entity authority, technical SEO, and structured data
- Proven expertise in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and deep understanding of how LLMs retrieve, chunk, and cite content; demonstrated experience tracking citations and testing how content structure affects LLM outputs
- Expert knowledge of technical SEO including Schema, JSON-LD, and site architecture; proficiency with enterprise SEO tools and proven experience managing website migrations
- Experience with AI visibility tracking tools such as Profound or Brand Radar, plus proficiency with standard SEO tools including SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment with content, brand, product, and engineering teams with an intuitive understanding that all company activities feed organic visibility
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive base salary: $182,750 - $222,525 annually, determined by industry standards, company performance, market conditions, geographic location, and role requirements
