About the Role

As a Jr. Web Designer at smartdept., you'll work on an exciting, fully remote contract opportunity focused on migrating a client's website to Webflow or Framer. This part-time position is perfect for a designer who wants hands-on experience building visually compelling, user-friendly websites while collaborating with marketing and development teams. You'll take projects from conception through launch, ensuring every design decision drives business results.

Responsibilities

Create and develop websites that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives
Migrate client websites to Webflow or Framer, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement design strategies that support broader marketing initiatives
Manage the website development process from start to finish, coordinating timelines and deliverables
Work with the web development team to ensure websites are built according to specifications and design standards
Track and measure website performance metrics and analytics to optimize user experience
Stay current with the latest web design trends and technologies to keep designs fresh and competitive
Provide feedback to the marketing team on the effectiveness of web design strategies

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in web design and development
Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices
Experience with design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Experience or willingness to work with Webflow or Framer platforms
