About the Company
WorkWave is a dynamic organization committed to developing creative, innovative solutions that directly contribute to the success of their customers. With a passion for delivering service that makes a real difference, WorkWave fosters a laid-back yet professional culture built on trust, teamwork, and collaboration across a remote-first global community.
About the Role
WorkWave is seeking a seasoned Manager, Web Strategy to take complete ownership of their digital portfolio, which includes four distinct company websites. This critical role is perfect for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable executing hands-on work and managing teams. You'll be accountable for the entire web ecosystem, translating business goals into exceptional user experiences that drive engagement, lead quality, and revenue—all while leveraging your deep expertise in Webflow and web strategy to manage a Senior Web Developer and SEO Manager across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and execute the comprehensive web strategy for all four corporate websites, ensuring complete alignment with business and marketing objectives including brand, demand generation, and customer support
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize information architecture and user experience across all sites, championing the web customer journey with intuitive navigation and clear conversion paths
- Own all web analytics platforms (GA4), rigorously tracking and reporting on performance KPIs, identifying bottlenecks, and using data to inform A/B testing and strategic prioritization for maximum ROI
- Serve as a hands-on contributor, directly executing content updates, minor design changes, and strategic initiatives while managing a dedicated Web Developer and Senior SEO Strategist
- Lead development and maintenance efforts using Webflow and other modern CMS platforms, championing the adoption of AI-driven workflow tools to improve team velocity and consistency
- Act as the primary web liaison, partnering closely with Marketing, Content, Sales, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and launch integrated campaigns across the digital portfolio
- Optimize for AI-driven content discovery by implementing AEO (AI Engine Optimization) principles, including structured data, technical SEO, and web accessibility standards
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in web strategy, UX, or digital marketing leadership, with a focus on managing multiple, complex web properties
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Webflow, including deep knowledge of collection structure, integrations, and deployment
- Expert-level proficiency in GA4, user behavior analysis, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) methodologies with working knowledge of AI-assisted analytics and testing platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of AEO principles and how large language models discover and evaluate web content for visibility in AI-generated responses and answer engines such as Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, and Google AI Overviews
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively at both strategic levels (creating roadmaps, defining goals) and execution levels (making platform changes, managing assets)
- Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report or dedicated developer, including task delegation and performance oversight
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, structured data/schema markup, web accessibility, and performance optimization, with appreciation for how these factors influence AI content discovery
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AI-powered content, design, and optimization tools
Benefits & Perks
- Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere
- Casual, collaborative work culture with a passionate, energetic team
- Opportunity to join a global community that values growth, creativity, and innovation
