About the Role

BX Studio is seeking a Senior Lead Website Designer to own design strategy and execution for a dedicated optimization client. This remote contract position is ideal for a designer who thrives in long-term client relationships, leading UX strategy conversations, building wireframes, designing polished deliverables, and presenting work directly to highly involved stakeholders. You'll serve as the primary design voice on the account, working closely with project managers, developers, and junior designers while self-directing with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative and design process from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with client goals
• Lead UX and content strategy for the dedicated client, translating business objectives into clear design direction and conversion-focused web experiences
• Build wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts, user interactions, and information architecture effectively
• Design and create visual systems, graphics, icons, and assets that enhance the aesthetic and user experience of websites
• Present creative work and strategic rationale directly to clients, navigating feedback with patience and professionalism
• Collaborate with developers for seamless Webflow handoff and execution, ensuring responsive design and accessibility standards
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs for optimal user experience
• Mentor junior designers, providing clear briefs and guidance while proactively surfacing opportunities to improve the client's digital experience
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve design innovation and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field
• 5–7 years of web design experience, ideally with B2B or SaaS brands, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects
• Strong UX foundation including wireframing, information architecture, and user flow thinking—not just visual execution
• High proficiency in Figma and other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Sketch
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles, web usability, and accessibility best practices
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers
• Proven experience presenting work and leading client conversations, especially with opinionated stakeholders, combined with excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, with strong time management and self-direction skills
• Collaborative, ego-free mindset with patience to manage evolving feedback and maintain momentum in a long-term account structure
