Operating in the aerospace and defense industry, the company prides itself on a dynamic, cross-functional work environment where talented professionals can learn, develop, and engage across the organization.

About the Role

CesiumAstro is hiring a Senior Web Designer to own the design, development, and maintenance of the company's corporate website and campaign landing pages using Webflow. This is a hands-on, autonomous position based in Austin, Texas, where you'll serve as the go-to resource for complex Webflow builds, technical issues, and mentoring junior team members. You'll translate Figma designs into production-ready pages, establish scalable site architecture, and exercise independent judgment on complex technical and design decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking—ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of website pages, campaign landing pages, and components in Webflow, from Figma design translation through launch
• Design and build responsive, cross-browser-compatible, on-brand Webflow pages for complex or high-visibility projects
• Build and maintain content using Webflow CMS, Collections, and Components, establishing scalable structures for reuse across the site
• Write and maintain custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to extend Webflow functionality and optimize page load speed, SEO structure, and accessibility
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, troubleshooting, site performance concerns, and conducting technical QA before launch
• Establish and maintain file organization, naming conventions, and CMS structures while monitoring site performance
• Mentor junior web team members on Webflow best practices and technical execution, and partner with marketing, design, and content teams on page updates and campaign requirements
• Act as a liaison between marketing and IT/engineering on website infrastructure, integrations, and technical dependencies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Web Development, or a related field
• 5–8 years of professional experience in web design and/or Webflow development
• Advanced proficiency in Webflow (Designer, CMS, and Editor), Figma, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with the ability to work independently
• Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, cross-browser compatibility, SEO, WCAG accessibility standards, and website performance optimization
• Experience developing and maintaining consistent brand standards and design systems across websites
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to make independent decisions related to layout, branding, and user experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status required: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, or refugee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to comply with government space technology export regulations
