About the Role

Clay is hiring a Senior Web Developer (Growth & Conversion Optimization) to lead the development of high-converting web experiences in Webflow. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Webflow developer who combines technical excellence with growth-minded thinking, based in New York, NY. You'll own everything from landing page development and conversion funnel optimization to technical infrastructure and A/B testing frameworks, shipping quickly with real impact on key metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build high-converting web experiences in Webflow, including landing pages, conversion funnels, and website features from concept through production launch
• Develop custom JavaScript for interactive elements, build CMS architectures, and push Webflow to its limits with advanced functionality
• Architect and implement integrations, APIs, webhooks, and automation that connect web properties to marketing, sales, CRM, analytics, and marketing automation tools
• Design and implement A/B testing frameworks, experimentation infrastructure, and personalization engines to systematically improve conversion rates
• Analyze funnel data to identify bottlenecks, translate insights into technical solutions, and build features that reduce friction and drive measurable improvements
• Explore advanced web experiences using GSAP animations, Three.js interactive elements, and dynamic personalization systems while maintaining performance and accessibility
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Growth teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions and provide technical guidance throughout project launches

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 3 years building conversion-focused websites and landing pages
• Expert-level Webflow development skills, including advanced CMS implementations, custom code integration, and complex builds that push the platform's capabilities
• Strong programming fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Experience designing and implementing A/B testing frameworks and conversion optimization strategies
• Proven track record building and debugging complex integrations, APIs, webhooks, and event tracking architectures
• Ability to balance speed with quality, make strong technical decisions under pressure, and ship production-grade code
• Excellent collaboration skills with ability to translate non-technical requirements into efficient technical solutions

Nice to Have

• Experience with advanced animation libraries like GSAP or 3D libraries like Three.js
• Background in growth marketing or conversion optimization
• Experience building personalization engines or dynamic content systems
• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools
