About the Role

Short Story is seeking a Senior Webflow Developer & CRO Specialist to join their team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you'll own the strategic development and continuous improvement of the company's Webflow-hosted website, combining technical expertise with conversion rate optimization to drive measurable growth. You'll work closely with design, brand, and growth teams to translate creative vision into high-performance pages while running experiments and identifying opportunities to improve conversion performance. This is an ideal role for someone obsessed with creating exceptional user experiences, who thinks strategically about what to test and why, and takes pride in clean, precise implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Webflow-hosted website, ensuring pages are responsive, fast, and production-ready across all devices
  • Build engaging web content and systematic, reusable components aligned with the design system by working directly with the design team
  • Own the CRO experimentation roadmap—identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, prioritizing tests, and implementing A/B tests and multivariate experiments end-to-end
  • Ensure test variants are isolated, stable, and correctly deployed, while validating that experiment events and conversion tracking fire accurately
  • Analyze experimentation results, draw conclusions, and iterate based on data-driven insights
  • Monitor page performance, usability, and conversion behavior while catching issues and regressions before they impact users
  • Optimize pages for search engine crawlability and indexing through proper structure, meta tags, page hierarchy, and schema implementation
  • Partner with Growth and Design teams to align experimentation priorities with business goals and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of hands-on Webflow experience with the ability to build complex, scalable pages with confidence and speed
  • Experience in conversion rate optimization, growth, digital product optimization, or related performance marketing roles, ideally within eCommerce environments
  • Strong analytical foundation with hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests
  • Demonstrated success improving conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other core performance metrics
  • Proficiency with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)

Nice to Have

  • Experience optimizing high-traffic eCommerce websites
  • Exposure to UX research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into testable hypotheses
