Staff Brand Designer
Job Description
About the Company
Webflow is the agentic web marketing platform for modern marketing teams, helping organizations build, manage, and optimize high-performing web experiences that drive predictable growth and strengthen brand trust. The company moves fast without sacrificing craft or quality, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in web design and marketing technology.
About the Role
We're seeking a Staff Brand Designer to join Webflow's Brand Studio as a senior individual contributor working in the space between brand and web. In this remote-first position, you'll design and build webflow.com as our primary brand surface—treating it as the place most people meet Webflow rather than a showcase of finished work. You'll own the design and technical implementation across brand touchpoints including campaigns, conference environments, film, and the product itself, while experimenting with AI-assisted design tools and bringing proven innovations into production. This role is ideal for someone who can hold a brand idea and build it themselves, comfortable shipping under deadline pressure while maintaining the highest standards for craft, performance, and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Design webflow.com as the primary brand surface, shaping pacing, narrative, and flow across visitor journeys rather than individual pages
- Express brand identity through behavior—type, motion, interaction, and state—extending the brand system into web-native patterns and components for broader team use
- Design and build simultaneously in Webflow, carrying work from brand concept to shipped page without handoffs, acting as technical owner of marketing infrastructure including CMS architecture and component systems
- Hold craft and technical excellence in tension, making architectural decisions that balance ambition against performance, scalability, and long-term maintenance costs
- Ensure brand coherence across all surfaces—websites, campaigns, conferences, editorial, film, and product—understanding how systems behave differently in each medium
- Ship launches, campaign pages, and fixes with speed and accuracy under real deadline pressure, owning performance, accessibility, and SEO health as ongoing commitments
- Experiment with AI-assisted design and development tools, validating what works and bringing proven approaches into production
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and building sophisticated web experiences with strong understanding of web-native patterns, interaction design, and performance considerations
- Proficiency in Webflow with demonstrated ability to own both design and technical implementation across complex projects
- Expert-level knowledge of brand systems and their application across multiple mediums and touchpoints
- Strong portfolio demonstrating work in the space between brand design and web development, with examples of shipped, high-quality work
- Experience with CMS architecture, component systems, and publishing workflows
- Ability to work autonomously as a senior individual contributor while collaborating effectively with brand designers, motion specialists, and marketing partners
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI-assisted design and development tools in production environments
- Background in motion design or animation systems
- Experience designing for or working with conference environments and live events
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive compensation with geographic pay zones: United States Zone A: $162,500–$195,000 USD; Zone B: $153,300–$184,000 USD; Zone C: $143,300–$172,000 USD; Canada (ON & BC): $177,000–$213,000 CAD
- Eligibility for company-wide bonus program with target amounts based on career level and tied to company performance against financial and operational goals
- Remote-first position available to candidates in the United States and British Columbia or Ontario, Canada
