About the Role

This is a hands-on Technology Lead position offering a unique opportunity to lead a small team of developers while remaining actively involved in architecture, design, and development. Based 100% remotely in the United States, you'll mentor engineers, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and guide the technical direction of scalable web applications. This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern frontend technologies, leveraging Webflow and similar platforms, and using AI to enhance engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
• Design, build, and enhance scalable web applications and digital commerce experiences
• Partner with Product, UX, and Marketing teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Contribute hands-on to development, architecture, and technical decision-making across frontend frameworks and APIs
• Build reusable UI components and design systems that improve consistency and maintainability
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, GraphQL, CMS platforms, and ecommerce solutions
• Champion engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery
• Monitor application performance and implement improvements that enhance user experience, web performance, accessibility, and SEO outcomes
• Explore and implement AI-assisted development tools to improve team efficiency and software quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams or technical initiatives
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern frontend frameworks
• Experience building applications using REST APIs and GraphQL
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as Webflow or similar solutions
• Experience building reusable component libraries or design systems
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, accessibility, and SEO best practices
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and cloud-based services
• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile environments
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting ecommerce or high-traffic consumer-facing websites
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and composable architectures
• Experience with personalization, A/B testing, or experimentation platforms
• Passion for mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence

Benefits & Perks

• Competitive compensation: $170,000–$185,000 base salary plus potential bonus
