About the Role

Join Advisors Excel's Creative Services team as a UX/UI Designer and shape digital experiences that drive real results for financial advisors. This onsite position in Topeka, KS offers the opportunity to blend creative vision with user-centered design thinking, collaborating with developers, copywriters, and account managers to create compelling websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and digital marketing assets. You'll be ideal for this role if you're passionate about solving problems through design, love bringing ideas to life, and thrive in a collaborative environment where your work directly impacts advisor success.

Responsibilities

• Transform ideas into engaging digital experiences through thoughtful design and user-centered problem solving
• Design websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media ads, and other digital marketing assets
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-leading tools
• Develop intuitive user interfaces that improve usability, accessibility, engagement, and conversion rates
• Conduct research, gather requirements, and incorporate user feedback into design solutions
• Partner with account managers and developers to translate project goals into impactful creative solutions
• Participate in advisor discovery meetings, creative onboarding sessions, and design reviews
• Stay current on design trends, accessibility standards, emerging technologies, and UX best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of UX/UI, web design, or digital design experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual design excellence, UX thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Webflow for web design and development
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
• Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, responsive design, accessibility standards, and usability best practices
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Agency, advertising, or marketing industry experience
• Experience with WordPress and Dreamweaver
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, or analyzing user behavior data
