About the Role

Gray Malin is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Visual Designer Intern to join their team on a part-time basis in Santa Barbara County, CA, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role over time. Working closely with the Art Director, you'll support a wide range of creative projects across digital marketing, e-commerce, branding, and packaging. This is an ideal position for a designer with a strong foundation, exceptional taste, and a passion for creating visually compelling brand experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and production of email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, flow emails, and seasonal launches
• Create and update website assets, including homepage features, landing pages, banners, and promotional graphics
• Design digital marketing assets for organic or paid social media as needed
• Support packaging design and branded collateral projects
• Retouch, edit, and prepare photography assets in Photoshop
• Composite Gray Malin artwork into lifestyle and interior room imagery with a polished, realistic, and on-brand aesthetic
• Prepare files and creative assets for web, email, social media, and print production
• Maintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints and collaborate with the Art Director and marketing team on fast-moving creative initiatives

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in typography, composition, branding, and visual storytelling
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
• Exceptional eye for color, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Chic, elevated design sensibility with an appreciation for both editorial and playful aesthetics
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic creative team

Nice to Have

• InDesign experience
• Passion for branding, interiors, home décor, travel, and lifestyle design
• Strong awareness of current design, digital, and cultural trends
