About the Role

Hypha is hiring a Web Designer & Developer to join their talented team in a full-time, remote position based in the United States. In this entry-level role, you'll work alongside experienced developers to design, build, and maintain websites primarily on the HubSpot CMS platform while receiving hands-on mentorship and real client work from day one. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated designer-developer to grow your skills in a collaborative agency environment with a structured growth path toward a senior role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and update web pages and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Assist with development and maintenance of custom HubSpot CMS modules and templates
• Perform routine site updates, quality assurance checks, and basic troubleshooting
• Create and translate designs from Figma into clean, responsive code
• Support accessibility improvements and learn WCAG best practices on the job
• Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to meet client deadlines
• Learn and apply HubSpot tools, HubL templating, and HubDB as you grow in the role

Requirements

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — you've built things with these and can explain what you wrote
• Experience with HubSpot CMS or other CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, etc.)
• Comfort with responsive and mobile-first design principles
• Ability to read and modify existing codebases, not just start from scratch
• Basic understanding of how the web works (browsers, HTTP, DNS, hosting)
• Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to ask good questions

Nice to Have

• Any exposure to HubSpot CMS, HubL, or marketing CMS platforms in general
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries or frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap, GSAP, React)
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude
• Portfolio, personal projects, or freelance work demonstrating your skills
