Web Designer & Webflow Developer
Job Description
About the Company
Flex is a forward-thinking company seeking a talented Web Designer & Webflow Developer to join their team in New York. They're building scalable, high-quality web experiences and looking for someone who can bridge design and development seamlessly.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a Web Designer & Webflow Developer to own the full design-to-launch cycle at Flex. You'll design beautiful, on-brand pages and build them directly in Webflow, creating scalable systems that move fast without sacrificing quality. You'll work closely with creative leadership, marketing, and product teams in a collaborative New York environment. This is a full-time role perfect for someone who combines strong visual design skills with hands-on Webflow development expertise and isn't afraid to use AI and automation to accelerate their work.
Responsibilities
- Design high-fidelity, on-brand page layouts, components, and templates aligned with Flex's new brand direction
- Extend hero pages into a consistent, scalable system across the website, designing marketing pages from interactive experiences to templatized layouts
- Build and launch net-new pages, templates, components, and modules in Webflow using reusable components, variables, CMS collections, and responsive patterns
- Translate Figma designs into clean, high-fidelity Webflow builds, implementing interactions, animations, and custom HTML, CSS, or JavaScript as needed
- Use AI and coding assistants to accelerate design exploration, component development, custom code, debugging, and establish AI-assisted workflows for CMS preparation, content transformation, and QA
- Design, implement, test, and prepare pages for launch with minimal handoffs, ensuring strong performance, accessibility, SEO fundamentals, and analytics readiness
- Collaborate closely with the creative director, existing Webflow developer, content, marketing, and PM teams; QA across devices, browsers, and responsive breakpoints
- Document key components, CMS structures, custom code, automations, and publishing workflows for team maintainability
Requirements
- Strong design and Webflow development capabilities in one skill set, with a portfolio demonstrating excellent visual and brand design alongside shipped, high-quality Webflow builds
- Proven ability to move quickly and ship high-quality work in fast-moving environments with shifting inputs, priorities, and timelines
- Strong experience creating scalable page templates, reusable components, module libraries, and CMS structures in Webflow
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS, comfort using JavaScript or custom code when needed, and the ability to implement high-fidelity builds from Figma
- Hands-on professional experience with Webflow CMS, responsive behavior, reusable components, variables, and Webflow Interactions (IX2), including motion and interactive page elements
- Demonstrated professional experience using AI and LLM tools, including building or configuring AI agents and workflow automations
- Strong attention to detail across responsive behavior, accessibility, QA, performance, SEO fundamentals, and design consistency
Nice to Have
- Experience with GSAP, APIs, webhooks, or custom integrations
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, or conversion optimization
- Experience with major rebrands, content migrations, localization, or multi-product websites
