About the Role
HackerRank is seeking a top-tier Web Experience Engineer with expertise in Framer to join the brand experience team in Santa Clara, CA. This role sits at the intersection of design and development, where you'll own the company's Framer site and component system while collaborating with designers, product managers, and executive stakeholders to create polished, production-ready web experiences. You'll be responsible for building an ambitious, performant component library and implementing engaging interactive experiences that showcase what's possible on the modern web.
Responsibilities
- Own the Framer component library including custom coded components, balancing ambitious motion and interaction with performance and scalability
- Ensure all custom code is production-ready and secure, orchestrating AI tools to achieve high-quality results
- Manage the CMS database and connect third-party tool integrations within Framer
- Collaborate closely with designers and content creators, showcasing your own taste and creative talents to shape web marketing pages
- Optimize page performance for international visitors across all device sizes and connection speeds, degrading gracefully without impacting user experience
- Rapidly prototype concepts using Framer and Figma MCPs to move quickly from idea to live site
- Push the boundaries of what's possible on the web, raising the bar on interactive experiences that draw attention
Requirements
- Strong web engineering background with experience in JavaScript frameworks, Tailwind, and coded design systems
- Proven track record shipping ambitious sites using Framer or Webflow with demonstrated ability to raise the bar for quality
- Ability to ensure code is secure and performant, and comfortable working with AI tools to multiply your impact
- Confidence in prototyping your own ideas and moving quickly from concept to final version with minimal external support
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and collaborating closely with executive and senior stakeholders
- High-agency mindset with proactive approach to finding opportunities for impact while coordinating with multiple contributors
- Developed fluency in AI tools and agents to enhance productivity and output quality
Nice to Have
- Experience with CMS platforms and connecting third-party integrations within Framer
- Experience with Figma MCPs or other AI-assisted design-to-code workflows with demonstrated results
- Background in motion design or advanced CSS animation to bring distinctive interactive qualities to web experiences
