About the Role

Merit Management Group is seeking a talented Website Designer to join their marketing team in Johnston, Iowa on a full-time, on-site basis. This mid-senior level position is ideal for a graphic designer with a strong interest in web who thrives on variety, takes ownership of projects end to end, and is eager to push the boundaries of modern web experiences. You'll design and deploy websites using Webflow and similar end-to-end builders, integrating AI into your workflow to optimize designs and processes while partnering with marketing managers to create sites that align with brand standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design visually compelling, responsive websites that reflect each brand's identity and support marketing goals
• Build and maintain responsive, high-performance websites using Webflow and modern front-end technologies
• Develop and enforce brand-consistent design guidelines for web properties across multiple clients
• Integrate AI solutions into existing websites and workflows to improve efficiency and engagement
• Manage CMS platforms and website infrastructure across multiple websites, troubleshooting and continuously improving web properties
• Optimize visual design for performance, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop innovative AI-driven approaches to web design and marketing challenges

Requirements

• Three or more years of professional experience in graphic design and/or one year of front-end development
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end web projects from design to development using Webflow or similar custom design/build CMS platforms
• Demonstrated expertise in responsive web design, UX principles, and modern front-end frameworks
• Working knowledge of front-end code including HTML and JavaScript
• Experience with AI tools and integrations in a web or marketing context
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-informed approach to design decisions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design rationale to stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience managing web projects across multiple brands or business units
• Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and conversion rate optimization
