Designer

CredLens

Full-timeWashington, DCDesigner

Job Description

About the Company

CredLens is a mission-driven company seeking talented design professionals to join their team in Washington, DC. They are building innovative solutions and looking for a detail-oriented designer to contribute to their growing product and brand presence.

About the Role

CredLens is hiring a Designer to join their small, mission-driven team in Washington, DC on a hybrid basis (two days per week in office). This is a hands-on execution role where you'll work fluently within established design systems, maintain quality across digital and print touchpoints, and produce polished, on-brand work at pace. You'll report directly to the design lead, gaining close mentorship while building real creative ownership over time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, production-savvy, and genuinely proud of craft — whether perfecting spacing in a slide deck or ensuring a Webflow page renders beautifully on mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Work within Figma design systems and component libraries to design, refine, and maintain screens, flows, and UI elements for the core software application while ensuring consistency across the product
  • Design, build, and maintain Webflow pages; execute content updates; and use analytics, SEO, and AI-driven insights to improve site performance and visibility
  • Resize, adapt, and optimize digital assets for web use, including images, icons, and graphics
  • Produce polished slide decks for executive briefings, client presentations, conferences, and internal communications using established presentation templates
  • Produce print-ready files for brochures, one-pagers, event materials, and signage using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator; coordinate with print vendors on specs, proofing, and delivery
  • Support product and engineering teams with design updates, annotations, and production-ready handoff assets
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, keep brand files version-controlled and accessible, and manage reusable component libraries
  • Use AI-assisted tools including Claude to accelerate ideation and explore design options quickly

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional design experience, ideally with exposure across both digital and print
  • Working proficiency in Figma, including comfort navigating component libraries, building within design systems, and preparing handoff files
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for production work
  • Some experience with Webflow, or strong motivation and aptitude to learn it quickly
  • Solid fundamentals in layout, typography, and color with an eye for detail and the patience to refine work
  • Strong organizational habits: clean files, clear naming conventions, and a tidy handoff process
  • Portfolio demonstrating care and craft, even in production-level work

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field
  • Experience working within an established design system or brand guidelines rather than building from scratch
  • Familiarity with presentation design at a professional level, understanding what makes decks work for executive audiences
  • Exposure to print production: understanding of bleeds, CMYK, and vendor file prep
  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar) as part of a design workflow
