About the Role
As a Growth Lead (SEO) at daydream, you'll own organic search outcomes for a portfolio of customers, operating as the human paired with daydream's powerful SEO agent. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where you drive strategy, ship pages, implement technical fixes, and remain accountable for real business results—not a consulting or account management position. Based in San Francisco with three days per week in-office collaboration, you'll work closely with a senior team of Applied AI Engineers, Backend Engineers, and fellow Growth Leads to deliver sustained, compounding organic growth for customers.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy and execution, spanning technical SEO, content architecture, and ongoing optimization
- Act as an embedded growth partner accountable for organic visibility, traffic, and qualified pipeline
- Use daydream's SEO agent to prioritize work, generate content, and guide execution at scale
- Ship pages, implement technical fixes (indexation, architecture, performance), and continuously update priorities based on real-world results
- Monitor performance, diagnose issues early, and adapt strategy to sustain momentum
- Maintain a high bar for quality across content, technical work, and measurement
- Partner closely with Engineering and Product teams to improve workflows and feedback loops
- Communicate clearly with customers, translating technical SEO work into measurable business impact
Requirements
- 4–7 years of hands-on SEO or growth marketing experience
- Proven experience owning SEO strategy and execution end-to-end
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and search fundamentals
- Comfort operating in client-facing environments with clear accountability for results
- Ability to connect technical decisions and SEO initiatives to measurable business outcomes
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an agency, consultancy, or embedded growth role
- Familiarity with AI-enabled or programmatic SEO workflows
- Experience managing multiple accounts or initiatives simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High standards for quality, clarity, and execution
