About the Role

As a Hands-On Web/UI Design Lead, you'll manage a team of 3 designers while staying actively involved in Webflow and Figma work. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in hands-on leadership—mentoring your team, conducting design reviews, and prototyping solutions to validate ideas before full execution. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, you'll be the technical and creative force ensuring quality, accessibility, and compliance across all marketing web properties for Group 1001's member companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor 3 Web/UI designers in an agile environment, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities
• Personally contribute to Webflow and Figma design work, including prototyping solutions to de-risk product initiatives
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance across all marketing web properties to maintain consistent standards
• Own product scope for the portfolio, ensuring architectural health and best practices are maintained
• Ensure accessibility compliance and regulatory requirements are met across all digital properties
• Guide security posture and technical decisions within the design system
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into design solutions

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and mentoring design teams
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Figma and Webflow
• Demonstrated expertise in web and UI design principles
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience with design systems and architectural planning
• Agile methodology experience in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills
