About the Role

Join Civitas Agency as a Senior Graphic Designer and lead the visual direction of high-impact projects for prestigious clients in the public and nonprofit sectors. In this mid-senior level position, you'll design and develop visually stunning websites in Webflow, create compelling social media content, and craft innovative advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate is based in the Greater Nashville Region and will be hired based on talent and portfolio rather than years of experience alone. This is a full-time role that begins with a 4-day in-office schedule in Downtown Nashville with potential for hybrid flexibility after six months.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and execute visually appealing websites in Webflow that align with client goals and brand guidelines
• Develop user-centric website experiences in Figma and Webflow by employing UX principles, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping
• Present design concepts and strategies to clients, effectively communicating design rationale and addressing feedback
• Create engaging static images and animations for social media platforms that align with the brand's visual identity and objectives
• Prepare advertising campaigns including ad visuals, banners, and promotional materials that communicate brand messages and engage target audiences
• Develop compelling logo designs and brand identity systems that communicate brand values and resonate with target audiences
• Collaborate with teammates to develop creative concepts and campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement
• Ensure all design deliverables meet project timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements

Requirements

• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing exceptional website design projects that highlight ability to create visually engaging and user-friendly experiences
• Proficiency in UX design principles, methodologies, and best practices, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping
• Extensive experience working with design tools such as Figma and Webflow
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Strong visual design skills, including layout composition, typography, color theory, and iconography
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate design concepts to internal teams and clients
• Fluency with AI-powered creative tools and demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into your creative workflow
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state
• Ability to comfortably and professionally interact with elected officials and local governments
• Must be located in the Greater Nashville Region
