About the Role

Full Funnel Growth is hiring a part-time contract Senior SEO & AEO Strategist to own organic search and AI discoverability strategy for 3-5 accounts spanning eCommerce, lead gen, and multi-location businesses. This is a fully remote position for someone who already operates AI-natively—shipping work across traditional SERPs and AI Overviews (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini)—and can pair AI tools like Claude Code with custom Python scripts to execute precision SEO work. You'll own the roadmap, execution, and results for every account, working alongside paid search, CRO, and retention teams in a strategy-and-execution-together model.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute organic search and AI discoverability strategy for 3-5 accounts, owning the full roadmap and measuring results across traditional SERP visibility and AI citation performance
• Deliver technical SEO at scale: audit site architecture, crawl efficiency, Core Web Vitals, structured data, internal linking systems, JavaScript rendering, and indexation management
• Build AI search visibility by mapping institutional and contextual authority, optimizing entities and content for AI sourcing, implementing LLM.txt, and tailoring strategies for different LLM citation behaviors (Claude, ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity)
• Create content strategy rooted in search intent, entity relationships, and topical authority that serves traditional SERPs, AI answer surfaces, and third-party citation sources
• Manage local SEO for multi-location clients: Google Business Profile optimization, local landing page strategy, review management, and citation/link building across dozens of locations
• Produce weekly per-account write-ups, monthly client-ready summaries, and present findings to marketing directors, CMOs, and founders on direct calls
• Surface proactive opportunities: identify content gaps, monitor competitor movement, flag algorithm shifts and SERP feature changes, and highlight AI citation gaps before clients ask

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping AEO (AI-Enabled Optimization) work across multiple LLM platforms—not theoretical knowledge, but real-world results with AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini
• Advanced technical SEO expertise: ability to read Screaming Frog crawls, diagnose site architecture issues, optimize structured data and schema at scale, and understand JavaScript rendering and indexation
• Hands-on experience building SEO systems with Python, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable agentic tools—writing code that pulls Search Console data, parses structured data, monitors AI citations via SerpAPI or OpenForge
• Working knowledge of how LLMs source, rank, and cite web content; ability to explain why citations favor third-party sources and how authority compounds across the ecosystem
• Strong writing and analytical discipline: label claims as extracted/inferred/assumed, use exact numbers, flag missing data, and communicate complex SEO findings clearly to C-level stakeholders
• Current awareness of Google algorithm updates, AI Overviews expansion, and shifting citation behavior across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini with informed opinions, not reflexive takes

Nice to Have

• Experience optimizing for multi-location businesses or international sites (English, French, Spanish markets)
• Background in medical aesthetics, regulated industries (cannabis), or eCommerce verticals
• Familiarity with full-funnel performance marketing and ability to articulate how organic and AI search integrate with paid search, CRO, and retention programs
