About the Role

We're seeking a Senior SEO Strategist to lead organic growth strategy for diverse clients spanning B2B SaaS, B2C nonprofits, and everything in between. This client-facing, strategic position is perfect for someone who can confidently lead calls, own performance outcomes, and architect comprehensive SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies in complex buying environments. You'll guide strategy from technical foundations through content ideation, helping B2B tech brands win visibility across search engines and answer engines—including AI search, featured snippets, and LLM surfaces. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and executive communication, with 5+ years of experience leading SEO and content strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SEO and AEO strategy development, from technical audits to content ideation and execution
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, understanding their business goals and translating them into organic growth initiatives
• Manage client relationships and partnerships with marketing executives and founders through confident, strategic communication
• Build and refine standard operating procedures and documentation to improve team efficiency and service delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with writers, developers, designers, and analysts to execute integrated strategies
• Stay current with the evolving SEO and AEO landscape, maintaining deep curiosity about industry changes and emerging opportunities

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience leading SEO and content strategy for clients
• Proven track record of building trusted advisor relationships and managing client partnerships at the executive level
• Deep expertise in at least one area: Local SEO, Technical SEO and Analytics, Programmatic SEO/AEO, Automation and AI-driven workflows, or Content Strategy
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Asana, Slack, GSuite, and AI search tools
• Strong understanding of process, operations, and documentation best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate organizational goals into strategic initiatives
• Experience working in client-facing project management within an agency environment

Nice to Have

• Background in content writing, editing, or copywriting
• Digital strategy experience that enables you to advise clients beyond SEO/AEO/content
• Prior agency experience
• Experience with B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, healthtech, or enterprise tech verticals
