About the Role

As a Senior Web Developer/Designer at Inovalon, you'll be a modern AI builder designing, shipping, and maintaining cutting-edge applications, agents, and automations that power the company's marketing and digital experiences. This role combines production engineering in Python, TypeScript, and React with expertise in agentic AI systems, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced AI development and marketing technology. Based in Bowie, MD, you'll partner closely with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure brand consistency while building the next generation of AI-driven tools and automations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production AI features and agentic systems including multi-agent orchestration, tool and function calling, RAG patterns, structured output, memory management, prompt engineering, and human-in-the-loop approval flows
• Build on modern agentic frameworks such as CrewAI, Mastra, LangGraph, and LangChain; integrate with LLM APIs and MCP servers; select the right framework for each problem
• Establish evaluations, tracing, monitoring, and guardrails for AI features to measure and continuously improve output quality, accuracy, latency, and cost
• Write production Python for services, APIs, data pipelines, and automations that move data between systems and support internal tooling
• Build performant, responsive, and accessible front ends in TypeScript and React using Next.js for application, headless, and hybrid architectures
• Optimize Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores through code splitting, image optimization, caching, CDNs, and server-side performance tuning
• Build and maintain integrations across the marketing technology stack including Marketo, Salesforce, GA4, tag management, and experimentation platforms
• Automate marketing operations, instrument campaigns for proper tracking and attribution, and troubleshoot end-to-end lead capture and conversion flows
• Maintain security using least-privilege roles, secret management, WAF/CDN rules, and OWASP mitigations; manage CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and releases with Git
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria; communicate progress, trade-offs, and timelines clearly
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures, mission statement, and all HIPAA requirements for data handling and services rendered

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive experience building and shipping production software and digital experiences with ownership across both front end and back end
• Production Python expertise: writing and maintaining services, APIs, scripts, and data pipelines with common libraries and third-party system integration
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript with production React experience, including Next.js in application, headless, or hybrid contexts
• Demonstrated, hands-on background building agentic systems with frameworks such as CrewAI, Mastra, LangGraph, or LangChain, including multi-agent orchestration and tool integration
• Solid understanding of marketing technology platforms, marketing automation, CRM systems, analytics, tag management, and data-layer architecture
• Experience with WordPress maintenance and extension
• Knowledge of security best practices, performance optimization, and CI/CD pipeline management
