About the Role
Short Story is seeking a Senior Webflow Developer & CRO Specialist in Boise, Idaho to own the evolution of their eCommerce website experience. This role combines technical excellence in Webflow with strategic conversion rate optimization (CRO) expertise, making it ideal for someone who is obsessed with data-driven improvement and customer-centric design. You'll work closely with design, brand, and growth teams to build high-fidelity pages, run sophisticated experiments, and drive measurable growth—all while deep in Webflow every day.
Responsibilities
- Own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Short Story's Webflow-hosted website, ensuring pages are responsive, fast, and production-ready across all devices
- Build systematic, reusable components aligned with the design system and work directly with design to build engaging web content
- Optimize pages for search engine crawlability and indexing by ensuring proper structure, meta tags, page hierarchy, and schema implementation
- Own the CRO experimentation roadmap—identifying test opportunities, forming hypotheses, prioritizing tests, and implementing A/B and multivariate experiments end-to-end
- Validate that experiment events and conversion tracking fire correctly, analyze results, and iterate based on findings
- Monitor page performance, usability, and conversion behavior; catch issues and regressions before they reach production
- Partner with Growth and Design teams to align experimentation priorities with business goals and communicate tradeoffs and constraints clearly
Requirements
- 3–6 years of hands-on Webflow experience with demonstrated ability to build complex, scalable pages with confidence and speed
- Proven experience in conversion rate optimization, growth, digital product optimization, or performance marketing roles, ideally within eCommerce or mobile environments
- Strong analytical foundation with hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests
- Demonstrated success improving conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other core performance metrics
- Proficiency with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
- Experience optimizing high-traffic eCommerce websites or mobile applications
- Exposure to UX research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into testable hypotheses
Nice to Have
- Background in technical SEO and advanced Webflow customization
- Experience with statistical analysis and advanced experiment design
- Portfolio demonstrating CRO improvements and conversion-focused implementations
