Short Story's mission is to create a seamless shopping experience for millions of petite women so they can dress with effortless confidence.

About the Role

Short Story is seeking a Senior Webflow Developer & CRO Specialist to join their team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you'll be obsessed with creating a constantly evolving website experience, combining masterful implementation with strategic thinking to drive growth. You'll own the Webflow site end-to-end, from translating high-fidelity designs to running experiments and identifying conversion optimization opportunities. This is ideal for someone who brings a CRO mindset to every build, working closely with design, brand, and growth teams to continuously improve online performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Webflow-hosted website, ensuring pages are responsive, fast, and production-ready across all devices
  • Translate designs into high-fidelity pages, building systematic, reusable components aligned with the design system
  • Develop and execute the CRO experimentation roadmap—identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, prioritizing tests, and implementing A/B tests end-to-end
  • Ensure test variants are isolated, stable, and correctly deployed, with proper event tracking and conversion validation
  • Monitor page performance, usability, and conversion behavior, catching issues and regressions before they reach production
  • Optimize page structure for search-engine crawlability and indexing, including meta tags, page hierarchy, and schema basics
  • Partner with Growth and Design teams to align experimentation priorities with business goals and bring design vision to life accurately
  • Analyze test results, draw conclusions, and communicate tradeoffs and constraints clearly across the organization

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of hands-on Webflow experience with the ability to build complex, scalable pages with confidence and speed
  • Proven experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO), growth, or digital product optimization, ideally within eCommerce environments
  • Strong analytical foundation with hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests
  • Demonstrated success improving conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other core performance metrics
  • Proficiency with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
  • Ability to translate customer insights into testable hypotheses and bring a data-driven mindset to every decision

Nice to Have

  • Experience optimizing high-traffic eCommerce websites or mobile applications
  • Exposure to UX research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into actionable tests
  • Familiarity with personalization strategies, segmentation, and AI-driven optimization techniques

Short Story is committed to providing equal employment opportunity and a work environment free of discrimination and harassment for all employees and applicants.
