About the Role

As an SEO Manager at Sproutward, you'll lead the company's SEO practice for a diverse portfolio of clients based in Southborough, MA or Dublin, OH. This mid-senior level, full-time position is ideal for an SEO professional who thrives in fast-paced environments that blend analytics and creativity. You'll identify opportunities, develop comprehensive SEO strategies, and guide client teams through execution—serving as Sproutward's subject matter expert on all SEO trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive client SEO audits centered on the four pillars: crawlability, link equity, content, and usability
• Develop holistic SEO strategies including content planning, site architecture, link-building, and keyword selection and utilization
• Support clients' ongoing SEO initiatives from strategy to execution, partnering with technology teams
• Communicate SEO importance and relevance to diverse audiences, from executives focused on ROI to technical teams concerned with implementation details
• Monitor SEO trends and industry news, sharing insights with the internal team
• Perform competitive analysis for clients and develop SEO reporting that measures performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct SEO experience
• Proficiency with SEO tools and platforms (Moz, DeepCrawl, Conductor, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, or similar)
• Technical SEO knowledge including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine spiders, indices, and algorithms
• Deep experience with Google Analytics, Adobe, or another analytics platform that measures SEO success
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Tech savvy understanding of internet and search marketing trends
• Passion for SEO and proficiency with Excel (functions, vlookups, pivot tables)
