About the Role

This is a hybrid SEO Specialist position based in La Jolla, CA, requiring 3 days per week onsite and 40 hours per week on an ongoing basis. You'll lead the optimization and AI-readiness of multiple hospitality websites, focusing on improving search performance, implementing schema markup, and enhancing guest experiences. This role is ideal for an experienced SEO professional with deep hospitality expertise who can both strategize and execute across technical and creative initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct SEO audits and establish performance benchmarks (pre/post optimization)
• Optimize websites for search engines and AI/LLM discoverability
• Implement and manage structured data (schema markup) to drive visibility and bookings
• Partner cross-functionally with developers and digital marketing leaders
• Improve site architecture, on-page SEO, and conversion pathways with focus on reservations
• Analyze performance insights and continuously refine SEO strategy
• Execute hands-on SEO improvements across multiple hospitality sites

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results
• Must have prior SEO experience in the hospitality space (hotel/restaurant industry)
• Deep expertise in schema markup and technical SEO
• Experience optimizing sites for AI-readiness and emerging search trends
• Strong analytical skills with ability to benchmark and measure impact
• Ability to both strategize and execute SEO improvements
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments and collaborating cross-functionally

Nice to Have

• Experience with conversion optimization and reservation systems
• Familiarity with emerging AI search trends and LLM optimization
