About the Role

We're seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer Level 3 to lead user-centered design for web and mobile educational solutions. This is a 100% remote, long-term contract position where you'll apply research insights to create accessible, intuitive learning experiences. You'll work collaboratively across product, engineering, research, and learning sciences teams while championing human-centered design practices within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX/UI design initiatives independently and collaboratively, managing wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and design concepts that inform development requirements
• Conduct and synthesize user research, metrics, and insights to translate user needs into tangible, accessible design solutions
• Design and evangelize pattern-based system design, contributing high-quality, accessible patterns and guidelines to the design system
• Present design work confidently to peers, stakeholders, and leadership, articulating design rationales and gathering feedback for iteration
• Act as a change agent, educating cross-functional teams on human-centered methodologies and championing design best practices across the organization
• Collaborate with Technical Product Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and UX Research teams to solve complex design problems and balance business needs with user feedback
• Consider the broader platform experience and user journey, ensuring consistency across touchpoints in the School platform ecosystem

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Product Design, Human Centered Design, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in product development, user experience design, product design, creative, or marketing industries
• Portfolio demonstrating design work in web and mobile solutions, showcasing your process and cross-functional collaboration throughout the Product Development Lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of software usability principles, current design trends, and advances in interface design
• Expertise in information architecture, user flow design, and interaction design for accessible, usable experiences
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple design efforts simultaneously while maintaining alignment with product strategy

Nice to Have

• Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or advanced degree in design or related field
• Experience designing for educational or edtech products
