About the Role

As a Webflow Web Designer and Webmaster, you'll serve as the technical and creative lead for all web-related initiatives at Idlewild Baptist Church. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Senior Director of Communications and offers a unique opportunity to blend design expertise with ministry impact. You'll manage the church's website on Webflow, ensuring it remains a seamless, user-friendly communication tool for both the church body and surrounding community. This role is perfect for a designer who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative spirit and comfort working in both technical and ministry environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day website operations on Webflow, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and functioning properly with regular updates to pages, plugins, themes, and integrations
• Collaborate with ministry leaders and the communications team to gather, coordinate, and publish content for events, sermons, classes, and church initiatives while maintaining consistent brand voice and messaging standards
• Continuously improve site navigation, layout, and design for optimal user experience; monitor analytics and user behavior to recommend enhancements supporting church goals and digital outreach
• Manage integrations with church databases, livestream platforms, form submissions, online giving systems, and third-party tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and ensure website security, performance monitoring, regular backups, and disaster recovery processes
• Implement SEO best practices and ensure accessibility and mobile responsiveness across all pages and features
• Serve as liaison to web hosting providers and development agencies as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in Webflow as a priority; experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms is beneficial
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and solid familiarity with web design principles
• Robust experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and responsive/mobile-first design
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple updates and requests simultaneously
• Team-oriented mindset with focus on clarity, creativity, and collaboration
• Comfort working in both technical and ministry environments with strong communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems
• Background working with faith-based or nonprofit organizations
