About the Role

Manhattan Strategies is seeking an Associate, Web Developer to join their team in New York, NY for a full-time hybrid role (three days per week in office). This position is ideal for a technically curious, detail-oriented developer who thrives in a fast-moving, client-driven environment and is committed to quality execution. You'll collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and senior developers to translate visual and strategic concepts into functional, scalable web experiences, primarily using Webflow, while growing your craft alongside an experienced team and taking ownership of meaningful client work.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize websites primarily in Webflow, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS for desktop, mobile, and tablet experiences (65% of role)
• Maintain and update existing codebases to established standards; conduct testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security
• Create and maintain documentation for code, processes, and technical implementations
• Partner with designers and content creators to implement and improve web solutions
• Optimize site structure for SEO and contribute to improvements in usability and accessibility
• Troubleshoot and resolve web development issues in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional web development experience
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Webflow and other web platforms (WordPress, etc.)
• Solid understanding of technical SEO/AEO best practices and site speed optimization
• Experience with web analytics tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster, and Hotjar
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly across teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience through a bootcamp or self-directed learning

Nice to Have

• jQuery or React experience
• Proficiency using chatbots (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for research, debugging, and work efficiency/documentation
