Conversion Focused Product Designer
Job Description
About the Company
This is a fast-growing, profitable DTC coffee brand reimagining better-for-you cafe favorites at the intersection of cafe culture, convenience, and functional nutrition. Their flagship protein coffee has become a best-selling item, and the brand is scaling from a cult-favorite direct-to-consumer business into major retail while building a loyal community around premium, functional beverages.
About the Role
We're seeking a Conversion-Focused Product Designer to join a growing design team at this DTC coffee brand. You'll design and optimize ecommerce experiences—from landing pages to checkout flows—that turn website traffic into revenue. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who treats conversion rate as the job itself, combining exceptional design craft with deep CRO expertise. You'll work closely with Growth Marketing, Brand, and the CTO in a remote (US) role, where you'll have full ownership of the design systems and customer journeys that directly impact conversion, average order value, and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-converting landing pages, product pages, collection pages, bundles, quizzes, and seasonal campaigns built for conversion
- Partner with Growth Marketing to translate CRO strategies and test hypotheses into intuitive, high-converting user experiences
- Analyze heatmaps, session recordings, analytics, and A/B test results to identify friction points and continuously improve performance
- Improve key customer journeys across navigation, product detail pages, cart, checkout, upsells, and post-purchase experiences
- Build high-converting experiences inside Shopify, Webflow, or headless ecommerce platforms, creating functional bundle and quiz experiences
- Contribute to and evolve a shared design system, building reusable components that accelerate campaign execution
- Collaborate with developers and fellow designers to ship clean, premium interfaces with exceptional typography, spacing, and mobile-first usability
Requirements
- Exceptional design taste and a portfolio demonstrating strong typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, and modern ecommerce design
- Deep experience designing ecommerce experiences including landing pages, product pages, collections, and campaigns that drove measurable business results, ideally for CPG, food and beverage, or DTC consumer brands
- CRO practitioner mindset: comfortable using A/B testing, heatmaps, session recordings, and behavior data to improve conversion
- Proficiency with Figma and hands-on experience building inside Shopify, Webflow, or headless ecommerce platforms
- Brand-side or in-house experience somewhere in your background (agency experience is fine as part of your story, not the whole story)
- Ability to move fast, own your work, and operate effectively in a small, scrappy team as an individual contributor
- Design with outcomes in mind, balancing aesthetics with usability, clarity, and conversion on every decision
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing for Core Web Vitals
- Close partnership with UX writers and copywriters
Benefits & Perks
