About the Role
As a Design Developer at Gemini's Marketing department in New York, NY, you'll own the pre-login experience—every surface an audience touches before entering the product. This is a high-impact builder role where you'll collaborate directly with brand and product design teams to create cohesive, polished experiences using Webflow, code, and AI-assisted design tools. You'll take designs into production yourself, accelerating the design-to-engineering workflow without sacrificing craft. This position requires in-person attendance twice a week at the New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the pre-login experience—websites, landing pages, and marketing surfaces—for Gemini's GTM launch initiatives, partnering directly with design and engineering
- Set a high visual bar across all external surfaces with meticulous attention to typography, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Design, build, and maintain design systems for web and mobile alongside the product and design team
- Prototype in code using AI-assisted design tools; push high-fidelity work directly to production
- Accelerate the design-to-engineering-to-deploy workflow by reducing handoff friction and increasing ship velocity
Requirements
- 0-2 years in-house or at an agency as a designer, frontend engineer, or UI/UX engineer with clear ownership of shipped work
- Proficiency with design tools including Figma, Webflow, Builder.io, or equivalent platforms
- Frontend fluency with React, Next.js, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
- Experience building high-fidelity prototypes, component libraries, and design system infrastructure
- A portfolio demonstrating both design sensibility and production-ready engineering
- High bar for craft with meticulous attention to details in typography, spacing, layout, and grid systems
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move fast without abandoning craft; based in NYC

- Base salary range: $90,000 - $150,000 in New York, California, and Washington (additional compensation through discretionary bonus and equity package)
