About the Role
WorkWave is seeking a seasoned Manager, Web Strategy to take complete ownership of their digital portfolio, which spans four distinct corporate websites. This is a strategic leadership position perfect for a versatile professional who thrives both at the strategic level and in hands-on execution. You'll translate business goals into exceptional user experiences using Webflow and modern web technologies, driving engagement, lead quality, and revenue across all properties while managing a dedicated Senior Web Developer and SEO Manager in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and execute comprehensive web strategy for all four corporate websites, ensuring alignment with business and marketing objectives including brand, demand generation, and customer support
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize information architecture and user experience across all sites, creating intuitive navigation and clear conversion paths that turn visitors into qualified prospects
- Own all web analytics platforms (GA4), rigorously track and interpret performance KPIs, and use data to identify bottlenecks, inform A/B testing, and drive strategic prioritization for maximum ROI
- Serve as a hands-on contributor, executing content updates, minor design changes, and strategic initiatives while managing team workload and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery
- Lead development and maintenance efforts using Webflow and modern CMS platforms, championing adoption of AI-driven workflow tools to improve team velocity and consistency
- Act as primary web liaison, partnering with Marketing, Content, Sales, and other teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and launch integrated campaigns across the digital portfolio
- Optimize web properties for AI-driven discovery, applying AEO principles to improve visibility in AI-generated responses and answer engines
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in web strategy, UX, or digital marketing leadership, with proven success managing multiple complex web properties
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Webflow, including deep knowledge of collection structure, integrations, and deployment
- Expert-level proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), user behavior analysis, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) methodologies with working knowledge of AI-assisted analytics and testing platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of AEO (AI Engine Optimization) principles and how to optimize for visibility in platforms like Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, and Google AI Overviews
- Ability to function effectively at both strategic level (creating roadmaps, defining goals) and execution level (making platform changes, managing assets)
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports or dedicated developers, including task delegation and performance oversight
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, structured data/schema markup, web accessibility, and performance optimization

- Familiarity with AI-powered content, design, and optimization tools
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted analytics platforms and emerging visibility metrics across AI answer surfaces
