About the Role

CyberCoders is seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join their team in Winston-Salem, NC. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high-performing Shopify stores and storefronts, with hands-on experience in theme development, front-end implementation, and React-based components. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to deliver polished UX and reliable integrations, while also supporting prototyping and migrations using Webflow and Squarespace. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Shopify experience and understands e-commerce best practices.

Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Build responsive, accessible user interfaces and interactions to deliver excellent mobile and desktop experiences.
Implement React-based components and headless storefronts where appropriate, including React.js, Hydrogen, or similar patterns.
Configure and extend Shopify Plus features, including scripts, checkout customization, and performance optimizations.
Integrate third-party services, payment providers, and APIs; create and maintain custom apps or middleware as required.
Translate design and UX requirements from Figma/Sketch into pixel-perfect implementations and interactive prototypes.
Support migrations and prototypes using Webflow and Squarespace when needed, and adapt content/structure for Shopify.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues; monitor site performance and apply improvements to load time and reliability.
Write and maintain technical documentation, development guidelines, and deployment processes using version control (Git).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work, scope projects, and ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with strong proficiency in Liquid and Shopify theme architecture (2+ years preferred).
Solid front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3 (including responsive design), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Experience building interactive components and apps using React.js; familiarity with headless approaches.
Experience with Shopify Plus, including checkout customization, Scripts, and enterprise workflows.
Familiarity with Webflow and Squarespace for prototyping, content migration, or quick turnarounds.
Good understanding of UX and UI principles with an eye for detail and conversion-focused design.
Experience integrating APIs and third-party services such as payment gateways, fulfillment, and analytics.
Comfortable working with Git, development workflows, and deployment to production environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to debug complex issues, and deliver reliable solutions.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with headless Shopify approaches and modern frameworks.
Experience with performance optimization and conversion rate optimization in e-commerce environments.
