About the Role

As a Senior SEO and CMS Specialist, you'll own the SEO strategy and content health for cecoenviro.com and CECO's expanding family of brand websites—all built on WordPress. This senior individual contributor role in Addison, TX is perfect for someone who can develop and execute a comprehensive SEO/AEO/GEO roadmap independently, from technical audits to hands-on CMS updates, without relying on developers or agencies. You'll report directly to CECO's Head of Global Marketing and play a key role in supporting the digital marketing needs of ~30 specialist brands across the industrial and environmental sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO initiatives across cecoenviro.com and CECO's brand website portfolio, owning keyword research, meta optimization, header structure, internal linking, and schema markup
• Monitor site health and search performance using Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and Ahrefs; identify and resolve crawl errors, broken links, redirects, and indexing issues
• Conduct periodic SEO audits and competitive benchmarking against peer industrial companies, translating findings into prioritized action plans
• Apply AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) practices to improve CECO content visibility in AI-powered search and answer engines like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity
• Execute hands-on content changes in WordPress—pages, blog posts, product pages, images, and metadata—including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, and mobile usability optimization
• Identify content gaps and opportunities based on keyword research and performance data; guide marketing and content teams on priorities, topics, and keyword best practices
• Support content migrations and integration as brand sites are added or consolidated following acquisitions and consolidations
• Partner with external SEO agencies, internal web developers, and marketing teams on content calendars, technical implementation, and tool licensing decisions

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SEO specialist or similar role, with demonstrated expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and search performance analysis
• Strong hands-on proficiency with WordPress CMS, including content editing, metadata management, and basic technical elements (XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, page speed)
• Advanced knowledge of SEO tools including Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and platform tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs
• Familiarity with AEO and GEO strategies and how AI-powered search engines impact content visibility and optimization
• Ability to work independently on complex SEO projects while collaborating effectively with marketing teams, developers, and agencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations

Nice to Have

• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, or B2B SaaS websites and their unique SEO challenges
• Knowledge of industry-specific keyword strategy relevant to air pollution control, industrial water, or energy transition markets
• Experience managing multiple brand websites or post-acquisition website consolidations
• Familiarity with WordPress plugin ecosystems and theme management
