About the Role
Cotality is seeking a hands-on Webflow UX/UI Designer based in Austin, Texas to serve as the strategic bridge between creative vision and technical implementation. In this hybrid role, you'll translate marketing goals into high-converting assets by defining optimal design-to-build workflows, leveraging prototyping software and browser-based development to create immersive, production-ready experiences. You'll manage scalable design systems, build native Webflow interactions, and ensure every concept is technically sound while elevating the brand and clearing the UX backlog. This position is ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of visual creativity and technical precision, comfortable explaining complex constraints to non-technical stakeholders and passionate about performance-driven design.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary translation layer between creative and web teams, ensuring brand standards are upheld without sacrificing web performance or conversion best practices
- Translate abstract marketing goals into concrete visual realities using Webflow 3D transforms, motion graphics, interactive modules, and advanced animations with GSAP when necessary
- Establish and manage a formal design review process, leading prototype presentations to non-technical stakeholders, gathering feedback efficiently, and iterating rapidly while defending UX best practices
- Maintain and evolve a robust design system in Figma that provides pixel-perfect technical specs for developers and an accessible "visual menu" for marketing teams, with components mirroring the Webflow environment
- Build complex scroll animations, parallax effects, and "Scrollytelling" experiences using Webflow's Interaction Engine (IX2) that keep high-value users engaged while optimizing for page speed
- Design visual architecture for HubSpot landing pages and emails, ensuring designs are feasible within HubSpot's limitations and documented for third-party tools like Ceros
- Partner with the Strategy Lead to rapidly prototype A/B test variations, using Microsoft Clarity and Webflow Analyze to monitor performance and inform design decisions
- Design all systems with localization in mind from day one, ensuring layouts are flexible enough to expand for different regions, languages, and character counts
Requirements
- Portfolio of live, production Webflow sites demonstrating complex interactions, clean class structures, and responsive implementations (static images are not sufficient)
- Advanced proficiency in Webflow, specifically with Interaction Engine (IX2) and CMS Collections
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable design systems in Figma or similar tools, with understanding of how to structure Auto-Layouts, Variables, and Components to map 1:1 to Webflow classes
- Experience translating brand and creative requirements into web and technical reality, with ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical creative leaders
- Functional understanding of HubSpot's design modules and limitations, with ability to design templates feasible for developers to build
- Familiarity with analytics and heatmap tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or Webflow Analyze to inform design decisions and explain performance data
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GSAP or custom code for advanced animations
